The TikTok Video API returns structured data for a single TikTok video, photo, or carousel from its URL. You get caption, likes, comments, shares, thumbnail, author's details and more.

API Parameters

Search Query

  • Name
    url

    Description

    Parameter defines the TikTok video (or photo or carousel) you want to retrieve. Pass the full URL, for example https://www.tiktok.com/@spidermanmovie/video/7670979152308079885. Photo URLs (/photo/) and short vm.tiktok.com / vt.tiktok.com / tiktok.com/t/ links are also accepted, except short links pointing to photo posts; pass the full /photo/ URL for those.

    Required if video_id and username are not provided.

    Description

    Parameter defines the unique identifier of a TikTok video, photo or carousel. Use it together with username as an alternative to url.

  • Name

    Description

    Parameter defines the TikTok creator's username (with or without the @ symbol). Use it together with video_id as an alternative to url. TikTok resolves the post by its video_id: if the username doesn't match the video's owner, TikTok redirects and the actual owner's video is returned.
