The TikTok Profile Live API tells you whether a TikTok creator is streaming live right now. Every account TikTok finds comes with the creator's profile and an is_live flag; while the creator is on air it also carries a live block with the room's title, cover image, viewer counts and start time. For the creator's full profile use the TikTok Profile API.

A creator who is not streaming is a regular response with is_live set to false and no live block. A username with no TikTok account behind it, or an account TikTok shows only to signed-in viewers, returns an error.

Live Creator

While the creator is on air, live carries the room's title and cover, the people watching at the time of the request as viewers, the cumulative number of room entries since the stream started as total_viewers (a viewer who rejoins may count more than once), and the start time as started_at.
